Algae blamed for strange odor, taste in drinking water
Early blooming algae found in the White River is being blamed by Veolia Water for strange odor in drinking water. Veolia however, said the water is safe to drink. Early blooming algae in The White River is to blame for the discoloration, odor and taste of tap water serving more than 700,000 residents in Downtown Indianapolis and surrounding areas.
