Tampa council members skeptical of sewer-to-drinking-water proposal (The Tampa Tribune)

TAMPA — Charlie Miranda has proposed that the city consider building a new treatment plant to purify Tampa’s effluent to drinkable quality, then inject it into the ground, where it can eventually flow into the Hillsborough River, the city’s primary source of drinking water. His proposal will be discussed today at a workshop in city council chambers.
