Govt to provide safe drinking water to arsenic-affected area by 2011 (New Kerala)

Kolkata, Mar 30: The West Bengal government would complete 338 schemes to supply safe drinking water to the arsenic-affected areas in the state by 2011 with a total cost of Rs 974.42 crore, Housing and Public Health Engineering Minister Gautam Deb said today.

Teenager killed by neighbour over drinking water dispute (Hindustan Times)

A teenager was stabbed to death allegedly by her neighbour over drinking water dispute on Wednesday. The incident took place at Bakshibagh area in the city when Poonam Yadav, standing outside her house, was attacked by Hukum Gaur with a knife, police said.

New Windsor drinking water advisory lifted (Mid-Hudson News)

NEW WINDSOR – The boil water advisory for drinking water was lifted Tuesday afternoon in the Town of New Windsor. It was imposed last week because of the turbidity in the town’s drinking water supply because of the recent snowstorms and later melting snow.
