DOVER — Tainted groundwater is spreading across thousands of acres in northern Delaware and has reached the Potomac Aquifer, which supplies drinking water to people across much of Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey.

Milwaukee’s drinking water continues to be clean and safe, despite sewage overflows and stormwater runoff into local rivers and Lake Michigan. Milwaukee Water Works is continuously testing the water as it enters the treatment plants and throughout treatment and distribution systems.

Drinking tap water in the Expo Site all passed quality tests, announced Shanghai Health Authority recently. In the first days of Expo 2010, visitors consumed about 250 tons of drinking tap water per day. In July, the amount climbed to nearly 1,000 tons per day.
